1.Map – Agalawatta New Pradeshiya Sabha has 34 Village Officer Divisions. Accordingly, the Agalawatta Regional Council by determining the area covered by the jurisdiction of the Agalawatta Divisional Secretariat and the territory of the Agalawatta Divisional Secretariat Division, the then Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government Janaka Bandara Thennakoon, Sri Lanka bearing number 1425/9 dated 27th December 2005. The Special Gazette of the Democratic Socialist Republic has declared Agalawatta Pradeshiya Sabha as a new local council with effect from 15th April 2006.

2.Constituencies – Agalawatta New Pradeshiya Sabha has been divided into 11 constituencies and the total number of members elected to Agalawatta New Pradeshiya Sabha is 11.
